CC Algebra I Function Types Summary – by Brett Widman

Brett Widman from West Seneca CS has put together an absolutely wonderful summary about the major function types that are studied in Common Core Algebra I. This is about as good as it gets. He shows graphs, discusses domains, ranges, transformations, and much, much more. Really a nice piece of work that must have taken him literally forever.

Brett encouraged people to give feedback on this and to let him know of any mistakes you see. So, please check it out as you head into the intense part of the review season.

Thanks Brett!!!

CC Algebra I Unit 5 Review SMART Notebook File – by Julie Merana-Spanarelli

Julie, from Central Islip HS, is back again with another wonderful SMART Notebook file for the Common Core Algebra I Unit 5 Review. So, if you are getting ready for the review portion of the course and need a great SMART file for Systems of Equations, check her’s out. As always, play around with the animations if you are comfortable with SMART technology.

Thanks again Julie!

CC Alg I Units 3 and 4 Review SMART Notebook Files – by Julie Merana-Spanarelli

Our good friend and frequent contributor Julie, from Central Islip, is back again with a great gift heading into the review portion of the year. She has created SMART Notebook files for Units 3 and 4 Reviews that we put out recently. You can access the reviews at:

Comprehensive Unit Reviews – by Kirk

Julie does a lot of great things with animations within these files, so experiment with all of the pieces of the files if you are an experienced SMART Board user. Here are her files:

CC Alg I Reviews – LOTS! – by Kim Magee

A while back, Kim Magee, from Webster Schroeder High School, sent us a bunch of reviews for Common Core Algebra I. Well, Kim has been at it again and sent us a bunch more.

Check these out if you are looking for a lot of great problems and are gearing up for the review part of our season (we all know it’s coming).

Thanks Kim!!!

SMART Notebook Files for CC Alg I Units 1 and 2 Review – by Julie Merana-Spanarelli

Wow, Julie got out ahead of all of us. How awesome is this. She already has SMART Notebook files done for the Unit 1 and Unit 2 Reviews in Common Core Algebra I. If you missed it, I posted all of the reviews at the following link:

The Complete Review Collection

And before any of us even had a chance to use them, Julie already has some SMART files to go along with them.

She’s added some cool features, so those of you with SMART Boards should know that:

1. When you see a spinner eraser that means that there are words to the right of the eraser. Use the eraser to reveal the typing.

2. There are pull down tabs with typing on them.

Here are her Notebook files:

Thanks again to Julie for this timely contribution!

CC Alg I Major Topics Graphic Organizer + SMART Notebook File – by Cindy Bumble

Cindy Bumble from Southold UFSD sent us a really nice graphic organizer for most of the major topics and fluencies in CC Algebra I. She uses it on a unit by unit basis to help kids organize their thoughts about major techniques and ideas. It could easily be used to help during the intense review time that is coming up.

Cindy also gave us a SMART Notebook file that corresponds to the Graphic Organizer. So, this is a great two for one if you have a SMART Board.

Thanks so much for sharing Cindy!

Julie has been kind enough to send SMART Notebook files for various units in the curriculum. Here are here files for Unit 1. We will eventually collect all of her files and post them more conveniently, but, for now, we are placing them up as we get them from Julie.

Thanks so much for sharing this unit and all the others.
